The Fitzroy office and workshop of Observant Pty was already an awe inspiring space before we installed any of our luminaires. Originally an inner-city industrial site, Richard Stampton Architects converted it to a multi-level modern office space surrounding a striking internal garden. The ceiling comprises of a large, slanted skylight, the light from which brings out the natural glow of the plants.

But there is only so much that natural light can do.

Observant needed a luminaire solution that would reflect the cutting edge products they offer their clients, as well as being high performance, efficient and aesthetically subtle next to the luscious green garden.

We supplied some 90 Advance LED fittings, the perfect solution when efficiency and performance are top priorities. The 1200mm fittings were wire-suspended along the slanted skylight ceiling, with the lower floor areas utilising a custom designed, semi-recessed fitting.

The resulting uniformity provided a strong coverage of the area, while not drawing the eye’s attention away from the central garden. Our local production capabilities allowed us to provide the custom semi-recessed fittings, along with the conventional suspended ones, in a timely manner and to the high standard expected from not only our clients but from ourselves.
